Day 9, 10, 11

Triple check, check and check... although I did sneak a handful of Swedish fish:( I have felt so guilty about it! No worries though I am back and didn't let it take me down. Sometimes we are to hard on ourselves when we shouldn't be. We tend to look at only the negative and not all the positives that we accomplished in the day, week, or even month. Try giving yourself a break,(myself included)and focus on the good that you have achieved.

Day 5 and 6 / R U A stress eater

Hello Day 5! Forgot daughter from school, bought new bed that doesn't fit in child room, new couches 2 month back order, ER visit at midnight, hubby out of town!!! Why does a huge bowl of ice cream sound so relaxing:)from this mess of stress day...
Did you know there are many emotions or situations that cause us to eat excessive or not so good for you foods. Here they are divided into five main categories. First Social Eating this is when we eat around other people, for example, excessive eating can happen by being encouraged by others to eat; eating to fit in, even eating because you don't want people to judge you for your good or bad choices. Next, Emotional Eating, this is in response to boredom, stress, fatigue, tension, depression, anger, or anxiety. Then Situational Eating this occurs because the opportunity is there to eat. (Big one for me is not wanting it to go to waste) or passing by a table full of goodies, this eating may also be associated with certain activities such as watching TV, going to the movies(popcorn)or a sporting event(hotdog) Forth is Thoughts Eating, this is a result of negative self-worth or making excuses for eating. Like scolding oneself for ugliness or a lack of will power. And last Physiological Eating in response to physical cues, like if you skip meals and your feeling starved or eating to cure headaches.
So the magic question how to we stop, fix, and repair? Identify what triggers the eating patterns and then replace it with something other than food. Example stressed out and wanna eat ice-cream, instead take a bath;
Almost a week down keep it up

Day 2 sugar cleanse part 2

Day 2 complete! I even pasted up dessert after a date night at Red Iguana (best mexican food ever!) For some reason this round two of the sugar clease is so much easier then the first time I did it. I think it's because, one, I know I can to it, and two I remember how great I felt after. The hardest part for me is getting out of my bad habits. I can't tell you how many times I have picked up a handful of fruit loops and almost stuffed them in my mouth without even thinking about it. Everyday you have to stop, plan and think about what is going into your mouth. Ask yourself is it worth it? I do this with just about everything I eat. Adam Peanut Butter Cheesecake...Is it worth it, YES! Store bought packaged cookies..worth it, NO!

Stay Focused for Sunday and Monday. Sundays hard because we sit around all day, Monday hard because of the Hoilday. Is the cleanse worth it...YES trust me your body will thank you. If it makes you feel better take all those treats you wanna eat and freeze them for when the cleanse is over:)

Okay friends its time for our Summer Challenge!!! No better way to get it started then the ultimate sugar cleanse:) Okay really the sugar cleanse sucks, but after the first week its the best. But really its common sense if it's junk or you question it don't eat it. Our start day is may 25th completion date June 21th which is a Thursday:) just a warning the first week is HELL!!! If we all stick together we can do this and feel so great! Yahoo let get this party started

DAY 21 Sugar Free Celebration

Well it 's official, 21 day no sugared candy, yummy cakes, donuts, syrup, chocolate, etc......And today I let myself have a taste of all of it:) And at the end of my celebration I left myself with a big fat tummy ache...Oh well I'm not going to complain!
I feel awesome that I actually made it the whole 21 days with no cheats. I feel like I proved a lot to myself. Just knowing that if I set my mind to something, then it can be done, no matter how hard it might be. (and sugar is big to me)
Monday is a new start and the sugar is back out, at least for a week that is. I am now giving myself 1 cheat day, not 2 but 1:) Hard part about this is deciding what day. I am debating between Sunday or Saturday?? The challenge about this is that you have to be set on the day you choose, others wise you end up with 2 sometimes even 3 cheat days. So I am kinda leaning towards Sunday since all I wanna do is eat on this day.

PS I feel a 100 time better! Did I lose weight...I don't weigh myself, I guess I will never know?

Day 12 Sugar Free

Dear Amy Morris,
I know you have just started the sugarless way, and we are approaching the 4 day weekend. I am not going to lie, the first week is the worst and you might be a really mean wife/mother. I am watching you during that birthday party, do not even lick the batter to see if that cake tastes right. That is the oldest trick in the book, I do that when I am fasting and justify it as not breaking the fast;) taking lots of licks cause I just wasn't sure if it was good or not. We all know you are the best cook in the world, trust me the cake taste amazing!!!
Day 12 also taste amazing!!! Cravings are leaving the system slowly but surely.
Heather don't be jealous of the pic I am about to send you:0
Charlotte you best be going to the gym in the morning for two hours to burn that butter off!!! People golden rule you can have popcorn at the movies, just no butter...deal with it!!!
Nat B. why are you not following me... you are an exception to the butter rule, and we all hate you for it.
Shel did you eat those brownies on Sunday...I am counting on you for my own strength.
Brandi stop flirting at the gym and get on that stairstepper!

Food Staple

Do you remember when I said Costco needed to get POP chips in BBQ flavor, well they must have heard me whining, cause yesterday I went and they were in!!! Forever they have had the plain salt ones, which are good, but boring to my taste buds...so today I wish to give a shout out to Costco for realizing that BBQ rules!
PS only 5.99 for a huge bag, way less air filled like the ones from Smiths.-SOS

Day 11 Sugar Free

Yup it is offical, we have made it to the half way point of this journey. I feel really good! Cravings for sugar seem to be getting easier by the day. Temptations are every where though!!! It's almost like a mind game, I find that I have to constantly remind myself:) which I figure is normal, like today Porter had a box of Mike n' Ikes, and prob like 5 times I went to grab some and eat them. Sad cause I really don't even like Mike N Ikes.
So note for thought, think about everything you put into your mouth, is it worth it ..or Not:)

Day 8 Sugar Free

Blahhhh to Sundays with family, pies, cake, cookies and nothing sugar free! Today is a hard one and the only thing keeping me in line is the fact that I have to write this post. So here's to day 8 even if it Sucks!!! Tomorrow look for good healthy snack recipes to get us through week 2.
I know the challenge is strictly 21 days of no sugar, but remember not to replace those sugar craving with other un-healthy foods or wasteful calories:)
For now...more to come after 21 day challenge, I am going to post Mondays play list and Thursdays Workout. Why Mondays and Thursday?? Because those are the days that I teach, so I will share that workout which can been done any day throughout the week and a play list to add to your own collection.

Friday done and gone! I feel good! Yea to Shelsea who has already dropped 3 lbs stay with it because you are motivating me right now! Day 5 Sugar Free

I'm so excited Day 5 has been reached!!! Even after teaching a two hour class I did not come home and binge, which I wont lie sometimes I like to do. Some have said they are late on the start of the cleanse....Join in any day, even if its only a week.

Are we remembering water!!! Forget all the special pills, laxatives, smooth move tea;), etc. Water is the free way to clean the body and get things moving. (although laxatives needed sometimes for instant gratification;)

Weekend is starting tomorrow... this is where it is going to be HARD!!! So stay focused! Looking ahead to the weekend I thought we might need a treat. So here it is, and it is delicious!!! We will call it the Ice cream protein shake. It's only 6 grams of sugar, which is what we want to stay under when looking at grams on foods labels such as cereals, granola bars, or whatever. And only 250 calories with our healthy fats:)

PS: If you don't own a magic bullet go get one!!! Best Ever

Ice Cream Protein Shake

1/2 cup chocolate coconut milk(YUMMY)

1/2 cup sugar free coconut mike

1 tbs Adams PB(YUMMY)

1 scoop vanilla protein powder

handful of ice cubes

Thrown in blender...Enjoy creamy yumminess
